the three layers in the Local Habitat Map folder are part of the Dorset Local Nature Recovery Strategy.
the other layers are extra tools that may provide helpful information on Dorset’s nature and opportunities for recovery.

Before viewing the maps, please note:

all map layers are a guide, not a prescription. They show a high-level view of the whole county and do not replace site-specific assessments or land management plans.
you may need extra advice on ecology, planning, historic environment, flooding and funding before starting any nature recovery activities
the Local Habitat Map must be used together with the written part of the Dorset Local Nature Recovery Strategy
