Dorset’s nature recovery maps are a collection of layers that can help identify opportunities for nature recovery in the county.
The three layers in the Local Habitat Map folder form part of the draft Dorset Local Nature Recovery Strategy. The other layers are extra tools that may provide helpful information on nature in Dorset and opportunities for recovery.
Please read and agree to the following before viewing the maps
All layers are a guide, not a prescription. They are high-level maps covering the whole county and are not intended to replace site-specific assessments or land management plans. Additional advice on ecology, planning, historic environment, flooding and available funding may be needed to deliver nature recovery activities
The Local Habitat Map must be used together with the written part of the Dorset Local Nature Recovery Strategy
Please refer to the Guide to Dorset's nature recovery maps to find out how we produced each layer, and the data sets that have gone into producing them.
